What is a Design-a-Bag Workshop?
An informal, fun event with the opportunity to create your own eclectic, one-off ‘Designer’ handbag (but the ‘Designer’ is you!).

Do I have to be great at sewing?
No- you just need imagination and an urge to make something unique. If you can sew a button on then a BagLady ‘D-a-B’ Workshop is for you!

How Does It Work?
Call or email louise to book a place on a workshop.

Louise will then send you a booking form –simply complete this and return it with your deposit. (Please call Louise for details).

If you think a Workshop would be a success in your area, or for a group you are involved with, please let us know here at BagLady.

On The Day
Louise will arrive with:
1- A selection of blank handbags for you to choose from – (designed by Louise). Available in a choice of several fabrics -silk, hemp, taffeta. The handbag will be chosen and purchased on the day of the workshop. Prices start at £15.

2- Outline drawings of each style of handbag for you to plan your own design.

3- A selection of trimmings for sale (buttons, beads)

4- Inspirational images / ideas.

Handbag Designers –YOU! - arrive with the following:
1-Sewing kit - scissors, cotton thread, embroidery silk, needles and…… a SMALL 4” embroidery ring would be useful.

2- Interesting fabrics / off cuts and any personal items - old necklaces, granny’s buttons, a wedding corsage?

3- IMAGINATION!!!!

Louise will assist with the design on paper and inspire any would-be handbag designers!

What Do I Get Out Of It?
A beautiful, personal Designer handbag that will be a complete one-off (make it for a special occasion or a fantastic gift for a special friend) and an enjoyable event!
